probably has a ssk with a long attachment to make the shifter taller with the x5 shift knob...I have it on my e39 m5

Because this particular lever is also longer on the other side of the fulcrum (pivot ball), the throws are actually no longer than with a regular length shift lever.
It's typically done when you autocross/track your car, but this car doesn't look like it's been abused on a track....
